Kim Kennedy is the Director of Ingredient & Foodservice Sales at Sunsweet Ingredients, a division of Sunsweet Growers. In this role, Kim partners with food manufacturers seeking clean label alternatives and solutions across a variety of applications. With over 20 years of experience in the food industry, Kim is passionate about the growing clean label movement and is eager to collaborate on solutions that are both cost-effective and aligned with current health trends. She is an active member of several industry associations, including IFT, RCA, and ADS.
Rick Perez CEC, AAC, WACS is the Corporate R&D Chef at Sunsweet Ingredients, the ingredient division of Sunsweet Growers. With 25+ years in the food industry, Rick has worked with national chains and manufacturers on business development. He is active in culinary organizations like the RCA, American Culinary Federation, and the World Association of Chefs. A notable achievement includes the development of Whirl at P&G Foods, which gained widespread promotion. Rick is passionate about simplifying food labels and creating healthy, cost-effective ingredients.
Kate Leahy, baked and cooked at restaurants in the Bay Area and Boston before collaborating on more than a dozen books on food and wine, including My Egypt, Lavash, and Burma Superstar. Her first book, A16 Food + Wine, won the IACP best book of the year, and she has been baking and cooking with prunes for more than a decade. She has consulted on prune ingredients with Sunsweet since 2012. She lives in San Francisco and co-hosts the podcast Everything Cookbooks."
