Meet One of Our New Board Member – Jaime Mestan CSC®
We were very excited to announce our 2017 board of directors in March. The newly elected and continuing officers and directors began their term as of March 18, 2017. Jaime Mestan is one of our newly elected board members! She serves as the Director of Bistro Products at Vienna Beef Ltd.
To help our members get to know Jaime, we asked her a few questions:
What made you want to become a board member?
I was approached by a few of my peers and some who are, and have served, on the board saying that I have what it takes to be a part of this phenomenal team. Their faith in my abilities and passion for the organization led me to take the next step. It was all very humbling and knowing that I now am able to give back and share this passion with all of the RCA members.
What is your favorite thing about RCA?
Honestly, everything.
From the members, to the support from our new management team, the annual convention, regional events, educational opportunities and relationships; what is there not to like? This organization was created to empower and support all of those in the culinary and food science worlds and bring them together for what is the most unique and supportive organization I am proud to say I am a part of.
So, yeah…everything.
What is your favorite meal?
This changes regularly. Today I think my favorite meal is the “Pahsgetti and meat baws” that my two year old made for me last night.
